Concept

P’tit bout de Lumière sought to create an immersive and interactive distraction solution for pediatric dental care. The solution consists of Virtual Reality experiences designed for children during dental procedures. Through immersion in an imaginary, reassuring, and immersive universe using medical techniques, the child becomes an active participant in their care to maintain a positive memory of their visit to the dentist.

Torrus VR was approached to create the proof of concept with an interactive experience. This initial functional version aims to demonstrate the functionality to caregivers and children during an intervention. The first tests were conducted with independent dentists. Following very positive feedback on the solution, a new development phase is planned to complete the solution.

Game

The ORIONIS story from P’tit Bout de Lumière includes several applications: a Virtual Reality headset experience for the young patient and a control application for the practitioner to monitor and control the game on a tablet. The child is guided through the entire experience by Tibou, the mascot. The patient is immersed in fantastic and imaginary worlds through unique adventures from the preparation of the intervention to its completion.

‘The application having received great enthusiasm, P’tit Bout de Lumière continues its collaboration for the development of the experience and the various components of the solution needed for nationwide deployment.
